Program 1
Early Payment Discounts
Offer your buyer a discount on an approved invoice in exchange for getting paid ahead of your standard due date. You decide whether to offer the discount and how much — using your own cash flow needs as the guide.
Static Discounting
Discount at Invoice Creation
When: at PO creation or invoice creation
Opt in to a fixed discount payment term when you create an invoice (or at PO creation). You agree to a set discount rate upfront in exchange for early payment on that invoice.
Best for: Suppliers who want a simple, predictable arrangement — set a fixed rate and know exactly what you’ll receive.
Discount rate: Fixed, agreed at the time of invoice or PO creation.
Dynamic Discounting
When: after your buyer approves the invoice
Once your buyer approves your invoice, you can choose to offer a discount in exchange for early payment. You stay in control — decide per invoice, based on your current cash flow situation.
Best for: Suppliers who want flexibility — evaluate each invoice individually and offer a discount only when it makes sense.
Discount rate:Â You set the rate at the time of the offer. You can also enable auto-discounting so Coupa submits offers automatically on eligible invoices.
How it works
Early Payment Discounts is a buyer-led program
Suppliers cannot enroll directly. To express your interest in getting paid early, set up your Global Discount Preferences under Setup > Early Pay Discounts in CSP (please note you will only see these options if at least one of your customers is offering an EPD program). Your buyers will see your preferences when they review their program.
Program 2
Launching Summer 2026
Invoice Financing
Get a cash advance on your approved invoices through a third-party financier — with no buyer involvement required. Available to US-based suppliers transacting in USD, directly through the Coupa Supplier Portal.
At launch, a third-party financing partner will advance funds against your approved invoices. You apply through Coupa, and the financing partner assesses your eligibility. You repay the financing partner directly on your chosen term. Coupa is not a lender — the financing arrangement is between you and the financing partner.
How it works
Apply via the Portal
Go to Working Capital Finance in CSP, click Apply, authorize data sharing, and complete the financing application — all within the Coupa Supplier Portal.
Get Approved & Select Invoices
Once approved, navigate to Eligible Invoices, select the invoices you want to finance, and click Create Finance Request. Your available credit line is shown upfront.
Confirm Terms & Receive Advance
The financing partner shows the fee and advance amount. Choose your repayment term (Net 30, 60, or 90) and confirm. Funds are advanced to you. You repay the financing partner on the agreed date.

Early Payment Discounts
Do I need to be enrolled to access Early Payment Discounts?Â
Yes. Your buyer must enroll you in their EPD program. Once enrolled, you’ll receive a welcome notification and can start offering discounts in the portal. Contact your buyer if you haven’t been enrolled and are interested.
What’s the difference between Static and Dynamic Discounting?Â
Static Discounting means you opt in to a fixed discount payment term at the time you create an invoice or PO — the rate is agreed upfront. Dynamic Discounting means you offer a discount after your invoice is approved — giving you more flexibility to decide per invoice based on your cash needs.
What discount rate should I offer?Â
That depends on your cost of capital and your buyer’s program parameters. Your buyer sets a minimum threshold — offers that fall below it will be declined.
What happens if my offer is declined?Â
If your offered rate falls below your buyer’s minimum threshold, the offer will be automatically declined or flagged for manual review, depending on the buyer’s program configuration. You can resubmit with a higher rate. Your invoice due date and original payment terms are not affected.
Can I set up automatic discounting?
Yes. You can enable auto-discounting in your Coupa Supplier Portal preferences. Coupa will automatically submit discount offers on eligible invoices based on your configured rate — so you capture early payment opportunities without reviewing each invoice manually.

Invoice Financing
Is Invoice Financing a loan?
Yes. Invoice Financing is a cash advance against your approved invoices that you repay on agreed terms (Net 30, 60, or 90 days). This is different from Early Payment Discounts — where you offer a discount to your buyer and receive early payment with no repayment obligation.
Does my buyer need to do anything?
No. Invoice Financing is entirely supplier-led. Your buyer does not need to opt in or take any action. The financing arrangement is between you and our financing partner only.
Can I use Invoice Financing and Early Payment Discounts at the same time?
Yes — but not on the same invoice. Invoices from buyers with an active EPD program are excluded from Invoice Financing. You can use both programs across different buyer relationships.
What is Coupa’s role?Â
Coupa provides the platform that connects you to a third-party financing partner and facilitates the data sharing (with your consent). Coupa is not a lender. The financing service is provided solely by the financing partner.
Who is eligible?
US-based suppliers with a US primary address in their Coupa Supplier Portal business profile, transacting in USD. You must also be approved by our financing partner through the application process.
Invoice Financing is currently available in select US states only. To qualify, your primary business address in CSP must be in one of these states. Make sure your address is up to date under Setup > Business Profile in CSP before applying.
