At Sonic Automotive we are in the process of modernizing payment methods for our suppliers. The first phase of the change is our new Virtual Credit Card payment program. Virtual credit cards are our preferred payment option for supplier partners, helping us pay quickly and securely with complete visibility through online and emailed remittance advice. As an added benefit to this program, suppliers won’t have to wait for the check to arrive in the mail and can access all payment details through the Coupa (RPM) Supplier Portal.
In place of a printed and mailed paper check, virtual credit cards are sent in a secure email that contains the card number, expiration date, and CVV. Suppliers simply charge the virtual credit card the same way they charge any credit card using their merchant account. There are no hidden fees, and suppliers are responsible for paying only the standard fees charged by their payment processor
We encourage you to accept Credit Card Payments using Coupa Pay. Virtual credit card solutions from Coupa give Sonic Automotive the ability to pay in a new way. If you choose to participate in this program, Sonic will pay your invoices quickly and you don’t have to wait for your check to arrive in the mail! If we aren’t already connected, we’ll also send you an invitation to join the Coupa (RPM) Supplier Portal so you can access all your orders, create invoices, and view your virtual card payment information.

How it works
Get notified
You’ll receive a secure email with the virtual card and also be able to view full card details in your CSP account.
Charge your card
Charge the card just like a physical card using your existing merchant account.
Go to payments tab
Depending on whether this is a card payment on an invoice or a PO, you’ll be able to see the payment in the Invoice Payments or the PO payments tab in CSP.
